I woke up by the irritating sound of my alarm which was interrupting my sleep for the past 20 minutes. It was my last day in Manhattan as I'm going back to India. And considering how much I sleep one thing that I acknowledged till now ,is that I'm definitely late for my flight.

I was standing in the lane to get boarding pass and I have already informed Ekaksh bhaii that I'm coming and told him not to tell anyone as I wanted to surprise them. And luckily he agreed as always he never denied to me for anything that's the best thing about him, He is the best brother ever and now it's time for his marriage and how can I skip that. Thinking about the reaction of my family and friends after seeing me after 3 years I took the boarding pass and took my flight. It was a long flight of about 18 hours from Manhattan to Mumbai ig and only I know how I managed this hours by sleeping, watching k dramas and reading novels.

I took my luggage and waited for Ekash bhaii but before him paps gather around me and started questioning and clicking pictures.

I saw Ekaksh bhaii and waved at him,he rushed towards me and lead me to our car. He put my luggage in trunk of car and we both stood there.

I gave him a bone crushing hug

"I missed you bhaii " I said.

"I missed you too ika" he said caressing my back.

After few minutes of our Ram Bharat milaap, we pulled away.

" Ghar chle ab ya yahi rehne ka plan hai" Bhai said with huge smile and  tears started to form in his eyes.

[Should we go home or you planned to stay here]

"Kya Bhaii aap toh senti hogye"  I said with a nod.

[Bhai you are an emo]

He started laughing as I wiped his tears and hugged him one more time .

" relax meri nhi apki shaadi ho rhi h" I said while laughing.

[Relax it's your wedding not mine]

Bhaii drived to home and in the whole car ride we both were talking and laughing about how we missed each other over these years.

I sneaked in house through the back door and carefully lead to my room with bhaii. I took my first step and stood on stairs while bhaii picked my luggage and put on stair with a thump sound.

"What's that? Is someone there? ... ekaksh is it you?". I heard mumma's voice from kitchen.

I got a feeling that  my surprise got ruined.

"Meow, meow " Bhai meowed like a cat. I somwhow suppressed my laugh at his antics.

" Kon hai upar?" Mumma asked.

[Who's upstairs]

"Billi meow, meow" Bhaii said while meowing.

[Cat meow, meow]

I bite my hand to control my laugh.

"Oh achaa Billi hai " Mumma said from kitchen.

[Oh it's a cat]

I laughed more, silently on mumma's reaction.

"Ek min konsi billi baat krti h" Mumma said after realising what she said earlier.

[One minute which type of cat can talk]

"Ekaksh naam ki billi mumma" Bhaii said.

[ cat named ekaksh mumma]

"Araaso Arasso" Mumma said.

[Alright-Alright]

"Kya bol rhe ho samjh nhi aaya" Bhaii asked .

[What did you say I didn't understand]

I laughed while tapping bhai's shoulder.

"Hasna ho gya toh chle ab" Bhai said while gesturing me to go.

[If you are done laughing then shall we go]

I nodded and went upstairs while Bhaii followed me to my room.

I went in my room after that and laid on my bed and drifted into sleep. Bhaii settled the luggage in my room and left after closing the door of my room. After a few hours of good sleep I felt someone shaking me , I opened my eyes and saw Ekaksh bhaii with food in his hand.Bhaii sat on the chair near me. I sat on bed while resting my body on bedhead.

"Adat nhi gyi na neend mein baatein ki abhi tak" Bhaii said.

[Your habit of blabbering in sleep haven't gone yet]

I laughed and nodded.

"Bhaii yeh apne bnaya hai?" I asked while looking at the  tray he was holding .

[Bhai you made this?]

He nodded and smiled.

" I missed your cooking so much specially the tea and kofte of your hand".  I said.

[Idk kofte ko kya bolte h ]

He smiled and forwarded me the bite of kofte I opened my mouth and devoured the delicious flavour and taste of koftas.

"Aha haaa bhaii aap na mere chef ban jao, kitne maze ke Bane hai "I said.

[Aha haa bhaii be my chef, how good you made them]

"ofc why not, Aap kahe toh shaadi ke baad apke sath na chalu apke sasural" He laughed and slapped my head gently .  

[If you say, I will go with you to your in-laws' house after marriage.]

"I'm not gonna get married okay, I'm going to live with you all here" I said while clinging to his arm and as he caressed my hairs.

"Ha Hum sab ko pareshan kregi saari zindagi" Bhaii teased.

[Yes, you will trouble us all throughout our lives]

"Bhaiii" I grinned.

In response he just laughed and caressed my hairs.

"Bhaii, sir dard ho rha" I mumbled.

[Bhaii, I'm having a headache]

"idhr aaja mein maalish kar deta hu" Bhaii said and massaged my head,

[Come here I will give you massage ]

 "Thank you bhaii you are the best you know I'm very excited for your wedding" I mumbled and rested my head on his lap and fell asleep.
